NAELS Web Hosting Services

  • NAELS now offers webpage hosting services to ELSs across the country. ELSs without a web presence can maintain a basic webpage with a group description, activities, and contact information.

A NAELS webpage will cost $25 / year for NAELS Members and $50 / year for non-members. This cost will pay for initial set-up, updates in September, January, and April and server space. To order a webpage on the NAELS site for your group, please send an e-mail to Dan Worth at dworth_99@yahoo.com with the information below:

University of Toledo
Environmental Law Society

NAELS Rep: Kelly Kszywienski
Contact: kelly.kszywienski@utoledo.edu

Description:

The Environmental Law Society at the University of Toledo has not generated a lot of interest in recent years. In 2005-2006, the executive board has focused on increasing activity of the organization in the hope of increasing student interest by hosting speakers, participating in at least one area cleanup, raising awareness within the community, and working to improve recycling on our own campus.

Activities:

In the fall, we participated in a clean up of the Maumee river, attended a luncheon with the Director of the Ohio EPA, worked to improve recycling on our campus, and held a roundtable discussion group with an attorney recognized by The Best Lawyers in America as one of the nation’s premier environmental lawyers, Louis E. Tosi, Esq. of Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick, LLP.

In the spring, we hope to continue our recycling project, hold another roundtable discussion, learn more about ways to make a difference in our community, and host our annual Chili Goof Off to raise money for future programs.

Projects:

  • We are reaching out to other Environmental Law Societies in our region (Region 6) both as a means of getting new ideas and to hopefully organize a regional event.
