2Ls

2Ls welcome back to law school! No doubt you are already swamped with courses, extracurricular activities, and the looming job search. Many of you are in your first environmental courses and finally getting the initial exposure to environmental law and policy you have been seeking.

As you work your way through your middle year of school, you can use the NAELS website and network to help you find opportunities, events, and ELS resources. As a second year student you now have many more options which likely include clinical opportunities, internships and externships, directed research projects, seminars, and independent studies. Through these mechanisms you have much more power to craft your own course of study.

If you haven't already connected to your school's environmental law student group, second year is an excellent time to do so, and tap into a wealth of human and student resources. If no group exists at your school, you can start one using the NAELS How-To Guide. Follow the links below for more information.
