Climate Change Independent Studies Over the next several months, NAELS will develop a set of climate change independent studies. These independent studies will consist of a list of suggested readings, a research paper, and a timetable. After NAELS has developed these independent studies, NAELS will market them to law students and professors. The idea is to create a set of academic opportunities that allow students to gain credit for learning about climate change law and policy and conducting research projects. Independent studies will be supervised by professors and professionals. If you are a professor who would be interested in supervising an independent study, a student interested in proposing an independent study, or a professional looking for a student to do climate-related work, please click here to e-mail the NAELS Executive Director. Please include your name, affiliation, and a brief description of your research project. Drafts of reading lists for two independent studies - one involving campus projects and one involving general climate - are below.
