MANY SHADES OF GREEN

Dan Worth, NAELS Executive Director [email]

A recent study by the American Bar Association shows a significant lack of minority participation in environmental law. Given the exapnding frame and breadth of what is now considered environmental law - land use law, brownfields redevlopemnt, green collar jobs - there is a real need to engage a broader cross-section of young attorneys in the field.

NAELS will work with leading environmental law professionals across the country, as well as law students and young attorneys, to increase diversity in the environmetnal law profession. NAELS will help highlight leading minority attorneys, identify leading diversity initiatives at the country's top firms and groups, and support events and projects that bring together broader coalitions of attorneys.
