Campus Climate Neutral Components

  • Law & Policy Climate Change Independent Studies / Externships - NAELS will develop a set of climate independent studies and research projects for law students to pursue as well as a set of climate-related internships and externships. NAELS will work with law school professors and administrators to get these opportunities offered for credit.
  • Campus Voices for Climate Neutrality - NAELS will run a grassroots campaign to bring together small groups of campus undergraduate and graduate leaders from different disciplines to work with key university decision-makers to accelerate movement towards campus climate neutrality. These campus groups will provide their Deans/Trustees/ Presidents with information on ways to reduce GHG emissions, offer to provide student support for campus climate audits and action plans, and urge decision-makers to steer endowments towards climate friendly companies.
  • Campus Climate Neutral Symposia & Speaker Events - In the coming year ELS's will run several high-level interdisciplinary climate change events in major U.S. cities to educate the university community, gather potential climate change research projects and opportunities, and increase the visibility of CCN. NAELS will also encourage each of its member ELS to host a smaller climate change speaker event.
  • Student Climate Web Center - You are currently surfing the NAELS CCN web center. Eventually, NAELS hopes to fill this center out with discussion pages, streaming video of lectures and interviews, links to current climate change projects, and a searchable database of interdisciplinary student resources and opportunities.
