Today's law students are, on average, 23 years old. They will hit retirement around 2050 and, if current climate, population, and resource projections are accurate, the legacy they leave will determine the future of the planet. From developing countries like India and China to developed economies like the United States and the EU, today's US law students, and their colleagues overseas, must develop, propose, pass, coordinate, and implement a set of environmental laws - in the fields of human rights, public health, energy, transportation, labor, and the traditional environmental law disciplines that slow down today's resource depletion and create a sustainable global ecosystem able to support 9 billion humans and trillions of other forms of life. NAELS' NextGen Project will connect, educate, train, and empower these young leaders and help them get to work building tomorrow today!
