Program Development at your Alma Mater

If you are interested in improving the environmental law student group or environmental law program at your old school, you, as an alumnus/a, are in a great position to do so. As a graduate you have experience, information, and access to regional and national environmental law and policy resources that incoming students do not. For schools without ELS, NAELS can help alumni find interested students and help them to form a student group. For schools that already have ELS, NAELS can help alumni contact them and work with them to organize speaker events, recruit members, connect to professionals in the field, and launch projects.

Click here to vist the NAELS regional pages to find out if there is information about your school's environmental law student group online. If not, click here to contact the NAELS Executive Director to find out if NAELS can put you in touch with students at your alma mater.

Once you have made contact, track down some old law school ELS friends and establish an alumni group. NAELS can help you do this by posting your new group and contact info online and reaching out to its network of alumni and professionals to find other alumni interested in getting involved. To list your group, click here to send an e-mail to the NAELS Executive Director. Please list your name, alma mater, year of graduation, and city of residence. Type "New Alumni Group" as the message Subject.
